Travel to Claremont

Air

The closest airport to the conference is Ontario International Airport (www.lawa.org/ont/), which is 10 miles/16 minutes driving distance from Claremont. Most major airlines fly into Ontario, but from the east coast, perhaps the most advantageous is Jet Blue Airways (www.jetblue.com) which offers direct flights from New York’s Kennedy Airport non-stop. Transportation to the conference hotel and site is by Local Bus ($5), Limousine ($40), Super Shuttle ($19), or Taxi ($20). International travelers may need to fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), about 50 miles distant. United Airlines offers a short commuter flight (can be booked as a through connection) several times each day to Ontario, and there are direct ground transportation options from there: Limousine ($75), Super Shuttle ($59), or Taxi (ca$50). Car rental is also available at both airports.

Train

Train service to Claremont/Pomona/Ontario is provided both by Amtrak (long distance) and Metrolink. (www.metrolinktrains.com). The former provides service via the Sunset Limited thrice weekly, and the Southwest Limited arrives in nearby Riverside daily; see www.amtrak.com for schedules. Metrolink serves Claremont directly several times each day. Bus service is not recommended.
