LOCATION: The conference will take place at the Museu Nacional da Música (National Music Museum), located in Mafra, Portugal.

AIRPORT: The closest airport is Lisbon’s Humberto Delgada Airport (LIS).

GROUND TRANSPORTATION:

Mafra is easily accessed from Lisbon Airport by car (about 30 minutes) or public transportation (metro + bus, about one hour).

• To access by car: Uber/taxi from Lisbon Airport to Mafra should cost approximately €25. Car rentals by most major rental companies are also available at the Lisbon airport. Paid parking lots are available in Mafra.
• To access by public transportation: Mafra is part of the Carris Metropolitana public transport network, which includes Lisbon. Bus lines 2802 (Mafra Terminal) and 2803 (Ericeira Terminal) both connect Lisbon to Mafra, departing from Lisbon’s Campo Grande bus station (€4.50). The Campo Grande station can be accessed from the airport by metro. The cost to take the metro from the airport to Campo Grande is an additional fee (€2.50). ACCOMMODATIONS

Mafra and surrounding areas offer many accommodation options (e.g., Airbnb, hotels/hostels, etc.) at various price points. In addition to Mafra, nearby Ericeira offers additional accommodations and is accessible by car (10 minutes) or bus (30 minutes). Lisbon, of course, is also an option, for those who would like to stay in the city and commute between the two locations.

We advise that due to other events in Mafra during the conference weekend, these hotels will be sold out quickly, so please reserve as soon as possible.
